First Day back to work!

It is always a shock, for teachers at least, to return to work after summer break.  This summer we spent 24 straight days sleeping in a tent.  While in Colorado we had the opportunity to sleep in a crappy Coleman tent , which I cursed at each time I had the opportunity to set up.  In Minnesota, our accommodations were much nicer, but still a tent.

Today, at work, the amount of people and volume of talking was quite a shock I blame this directly on our seclusion in the mountians of Leadville for the last three weeks. The first day back always consists of meetings.  About 1:30 I was fading fast and could not figure out why I was so tired.  Then I realized at 1:30 I had been doing this for the last two months.

Other than the whole falling asleep during a meeting thing the day went well.   I am excited about the next school year and am looking forward to seeing all my students.  I still feel I have the greatest job in the world.

Ash and I are getting our pictures ready from Leadville and I hope, can't promise, to blog more about our summer and share those pictures.  I want to get in the habit of blogging a bit more.  Basically, for selfish reason.  I am not a very good writer and I would like to improve.  (For the record, I did not fall asleep at work.  I paid attention, promise)
